FAQ’s - Warmer Kiwi Homes Grant
You may qualify if:
- You own and live in a home built before 2008
- You have a Community Services Card or SuperGold Combo Card, or
- Your home is in a low-to-middle income area (we can check this for you)
- Your home needs ceiling and/or underfloor insulation (if existing insulation doesn’t meet EECA standards, you may still qualify)
- 50% to 90% off the cost of ceiling and underfloor insulation
- In some areas, extra community funding may reduce your cost even further — in some cases, to nothing at all
- Ceiling and underfloor insulation installation
We can assess your current insulation. If it doesn’t meet EECA standards, you may still qualify for funding.
- Wall insulation
- Rental properties, baches, or Airbnbs — must be your main home
- Some remote or island locations may not be covered
